Why turn images into a PDF at all
A folder of loose photos is awkward to send and easy to lose. A PDF keeps them together in a fixed order, opens identically on any device, and prints predictably — which is exactly what you want when the images are pages of something: a signed form photographed page by page, a stack of receipts for an expense claim, or scans of an ID for an application.
Because a PDF is a single file, the recipient gets one tidy attachment instead of a dozen images, and the order you intended is preserved rather than left to whatever sequence their photo viewer happens to use.
Each image becomes a correctly-sized page
slimdocs places one image per page and sizes the page to the image, so nothing is stretched, cropped or distorted. A tall portrait photo produces a portrait page; a wide screenshot produces a landscape page. The aspect ratio you shot is the aspect ratio you get.
If your images are different shapes, that is fine — each page simply matches its own image. The result is a natural-looking document rather than a set of photos awkwardly forced onto identical sheets.
Supported formats and ordering
You can mix JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and TIFF in a single conversion, and other common formats are normalised automatically. Add as many images as you like; drag them into the sequence you want before converting, because the order on screen is the order of pages in the finished PDF.
