Split PDF files

Pull a single chapter from a long report, separate a scanned batch into individual documents, or break a PDF into one file per page. slimdocs supports flexible page ranges so you get exactly the pages you need.

How to use it

1. Open the Split PDF tool.
2. Drop in your PDF.
3. Enter page ranges like 1-3,5,8-10 — or leave it blank to split every page.
4. Download the results (zipped when there's more than one file).

Why split a PDF

A big PDF is often more than you need to share. You might want just the signature page of a contract, a single chapter from a long report, or one form out of a scanned batch. Splitting lets you send exactly the relevant pages instead of a huge file the recipient has to wade through.

It is also how you tidy a scan. When a document feeder captures a stack of separate papers as one PDF, splitting turns that single file back into the individual documents it should have been.

Flexible page ranges

slimdocs understands a simple, powerful range syntax so you can describe precisely what you want in one line:

5	Extract a single page on its own.
1-3	Extract a continuous range of pages.
1-3,5,8-10	Combine ranges and single pages in one go.
(blank)	Split every page into its own separate file.

What you get back

If your selection produces one document, you download a single PDF. If it produces several — for example when you split every page — they are bundled into a ZIP so the download stays neat. The original page content is preserved exactly in every output file, with text still selectable and nothing rasterised.
